Abstract：The evolution from GSM-R system to LTE-R system is a major trend in rail-road communications. During the evolution from GSM-R to LTE, there will be a long period of dual system coexistence to ensure a smooth evolution, thus the importance of dual system coexistence and gradual transition. During the smooth transition and business relocation from GSM-R to LTE, the appropriate wireless access network will be selected between LTE and GSM based on the measurement and determination mechanism of signal intensity between their different radio access systems. In this process, dual-network mutual aid for GSM-R/LTE-R is realized.
