Recently, Fire Alarm System for Rolling Stock and other 12 national railway technical standards prepared under the organization of the National Railway Administration were officially released upon the approval by the Standardization Administration of China. These 13 standards are important components of China's railway technical standard system. Their release provides technical basis for product design, manufacture and inspection, and plays a positive role in guaranteeing railway operation safety and improving product quality.

Fire Alarm System for Rolling Stock (GB/T 38519-2020) stipulates the terms and definitions, service conditions, system composition, technical requirements and parameters, inspection methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of fire alarm systems and components for rolling stock. It defines the functions and performance requirements of fire alarm systems, and provides detailed technical parameters and test requirements for the application of fire alarm controllers and detectors in the railway field. It also standardizes the overall requirements of fire monitoring and alarm for railway rolling stock and provides technical support for the design, manufacture and inspection of fire alarm systems for rolling stock.

The serial standards of Electronic Railway Equipment - Train Communication Network (TCN) (GB/T 28029.112-2020) include 12 parts, and the international standard IEC 61375 is adopted for reference during the preparation of these standards. Train communication network, known as the "neural system" of the train, serves as an information channel to communicate with various control and diagnosis units. It connects many computer-controlled components onboard via network to realize information exchange, thus achieving the goal of unified control, diagnosis and resource sharing. The series of standards are important basic standards and cover wire train bus (WTB), multi-function vehicle bus (MVB), Ethernet (ETB, ECN), TCN communication protocol, TCN application protocol, CANopen marshalling network, train-ground communication and wireless train backbone (WLTB) and other network communication technologies. They are common languages for communication between train equipment which lay a technical foundation for interconnection of train communication network products.
