Recently, Nanchang-Ganzhou Passenger Dedicated Line designed by China Railway SIYUAN Survey and Design Group Co., Ltd. was officially connected to the main corridor of China's "eight east-west and eight north-south" high speed railways network. The CRTS III ballastless track, with independent intellectual property rights of China and a whole-line coverage, integrates "dark technologies" such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), intelligent perception and mobile internet.

The first set of software for the design, manufacture and layout of CRTS III slab ballastless track, independently developed by SIYUAN, is capable of implementing digitalized and intelligent track design, with calculation accuracy up to 0.01 mm. The number, elevation and plane curve radius of ballastless track can be generated in a click of a mouse.

It is reported that the "China Chip" hidden in the track slab can be used continuously for the 60 years, recording the historical data of the track slab from manufacture to operation. Upon activation of the chip, it will be "networked" and connected to the track information platform independently developed by SIYUAN. Design personnel can check the field status at any network-covered place. The data can be transmitted with high precision whether under the circumstance of train passing at a high speed or under severe conditions such as strong wind vibration, rain and fog, etc.

Thanks to the application of digital technologies in the design phase, operators can automatically control total stations, data recorder and other equipment to implement automatic setting-out of the base, and rough laying and fine adjustment of track slabs amid construction. Then, with a simple scanning by the data recorder independently developed by SIYUAN, all information of the track slab can be read immediately. The software can also automatically identify the construction accuracy, and generate quality reports and progress reports in reference to the on-site maintenance department. If the monitoring data exceeds the limit, an alarm will be triggered, and the early warning information will be sent to the maintenance personnel in real time. The scientific management of railway project helps keeps everything under control.

As one walks into the comprehensive monitoring center of the Track Institute of China Railway SIYUAN Survey and Design Group Co., Ltd., a row of monitors "monitoring" several high speed railway tracks comes into view. Every time a high speed train passes by, the track state curve will be displayed.

SIYUAN will further utilize cutting-edge technologies such as big data and 5G to effectively promote intelligent, efficient, green and coordinated development of railway construction.
