Yunnan Province’s Mohan Exit and Entry Border Inspection Station announced on December 6 that since the launch of the China-Laos Railway international passenger train on April 13 this year, the Mohan Port has inspected a total of 474 international passenger trains, with over 100,000 passengers from 75 countries and regions. Among them, foreign passengers entering and exiting account for about 14.9%, totaling approximately 14,900 people.

The China-Laos Railway international passenger train has been highly favored by passengers since its launch. Currently, the total travel time from Kunmingnan Railway Station to Vientiane Railway Station in Laos is 9 hours and 26 minutes. “Among the foreign nationals entering China by taking the China-Laos Railway international passenger train, the majority are tourists and students coming to China,” said Li Bing, the person in charge of the railway port duty team at the Mohan Exit and Entry Border Inspection Station.
